Zhang Juanjuan of China clinched the Women’s Individual gold in Archery on the sixth day of the Beijing Olympics (14th August 2008). Park Sung-hyun of South Korea (Republic of Korea) was beaten by just one point (110-109). Yun Ok-hee of South Korea had third.

Im Dong-hyun, Lee Chang-hwan and Park Kyung-mo of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) team beat the Italian team in Archery Men’s Team final. The ROK team scored 227 points, only 2 points ahead of the Italians’ score of 225. The team of China took bronze with 222 points.

In the 2nd day of the Beijing Olympics, the final of the Women’s Team Archery event was delayed for 30 minutes due to a heavy downpour but South Korea’s Park Sung-hyun, Yun Ok-hee and Joo Hyun-jung shot the sixth consecutive gold for their country with a world and Olympic record of 224. China came second, with France followed third.
