In the Men’s 5000m event, Kenenisa Bekele of Ehtiopia clinched the gold medal with a new Olympic record time of 12:57.82. Eliud Kipchoge and Cheruiyot SOI Edwin, both Kenya, settled for silver and bronze respectively.
