Chen Yibing, Huang Xu, Li Xiaopeng, Xiao Qin, Yang Wei and Zou Kai of China captured the gold in Gymnastics Artistic (Men’s Team) with 286.125 points. Japan’s team came second with 278.875 and the team from United States got bronze with 275.850.

I can’t believe the comment that Yang Wei, the Chinese male gymnast, made about jumping off the highest building in Beijing if he didn’t get a gold medal. Isn’t he about to be married?? I can just imagine his fiancee’s reaction to that statement: “I’m not even a bride yet and you are talking about making me a widow?? Why didn’t you tell me that insanity runs in your family! Jump off the highest building, just because of a damn piece of bling? Are you crazy?? OK,OK JUMP. I’ll even help you jump, but first take out a 10 million dollar ($US) and make me your beneficiary so after you jump, I can take that money, hook up with a new man (China has no shortage), and we can go to Hawaii where I’ll buy the skimpiest bikini in Waikiki and when your blood stains are still being cleaned off the pavement from your SPLAT!, I’ll be looking good, looking into the eyes of my new love who’ll have his hand on my thigh, so go ahead and die over that damn gold medal. (You’ve never said you’d die for me!!) With or without it, you’ll soon find that gold won’t keep you warm on cold Beijing nights. Damn!! But, crazy man, but I will survive, with or without you, so don’t expect me to jump after you!!
