Safe Drinking Water For Beijing Olympics 2008

Oympics athletes can drink in peace, that is, the water that is supplied to the Olympics village will be safe for drinking, as the Beijing government promises. Currently, Beijing is frivolously replacing rusty, old pipes with sparkling, new ones.
The Beijing Water Works Group, responsible for ensuring the city’s water supply, has earmarked US$256 million to upgrade the city’s water system to guarantee sufficient supplies during the games next August, and a further US$22 million to repair leaky water pipes.
Water is still the most important element for the human body. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
